- Purchased for an anthropology class and ended up reading because it was actually very interesting.
- I actually purchased this book for class and I loved the information inside so much that I decided to keep the book for my personal library.

- Lots of references to the work of Elizabeth Barber and connections to fabric. For someone with a textile background it provides even more "click" moments. Easily readable and packed with information it is a must read for anyone interested in the fields of Women's Studies and Anthropology.
- I like that a lot of the information is given as though she were expecting men who don't believe in feminism to be reading it. I like the case studies and the flow of each topic.
